Fitness and Health Article

Fitness and Health Article
The term "fitness", which literally means "good health", means a lifestyle in the sports field that leads to obtaining a good state of physical and mental fitness by carrying out physical activity, adopting a correct diet and avoiding harmful habits such as smoking or taking excessive amounts of alcohol.
What is it for

The goals of fitness are to achieve an ideal body weight, develop strength and endurance, stimulate balance and coordination in movements, have good joint mobility and train the cardiorespiratory system.
How to practice it

Keeping the body active and trained for movement is one of the main elements on which to base oneself to obtain a good state of physical fitness: the minimum recommendation is to run or walk briskly for at least 15-20 minutes every day.

The exercises that can be learned to keep the different areas of the body in training can be performed free-body or with the help of tools (such as dumbbells, weights, elastic bands or anklets).

Those who decide to follow a program in a gym will have specific machines for cardiovascular training and for toning their muscles.

Whatever form of physical activity you choose to practice, it is generally an aerobic workout that does not involve short and intense muscular efforts (such as body building or weight lifting) but a gradual and constant effort, which will lead to time for better response of the cardiorespiratory system and superior physical performance.
Who can practice it

Moderate physical activity and proper nutrition are recommended for any person of any age, as long as there are no important pathologies to compromise the ability to move.

In any case, even in the presence of pathologies, it is possible, with the help of specialized medical personnel, to find the type of activity and diet that can bring benefits, taking into account the conditions of the individual case.
Contraindications

There are no contraindications as long as you perform moderate physical activity suitable for the physical conditions of the individual and follow a balanced diet.
